Not all dreams are sweet. For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people’s dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie’s seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime. She can’t tell anybody about what she does — they’d never believe her, or worse, they’d think she’s a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn’t want and can’t control. Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else’s twisted psyche. She is a participant….
I read this book a long time ago. A friend bought it for me awhile ago so I apologize if my analysis isn’t very good. I liked this book a lot. It has an interesting concept. The character Janie is a dream catcher. Whenever she is around someone that is dreaming she gets sucked into their dreams. The way the book is written is very interesting. Each chapter is a day or date, sometimes it’s just how Janie is feeling then and throughout the chapter there are section with different time of the day. It reminds me a lot of a dream journal; which is appropriate. Janie is the main character and is incredibly likeable. Cabel is another character in the book. He is interesting and has a mysterious background story of his own; which takes up the main plot of the book.
The next book in the trilogy is Fade followed by Gone.
