Book 5 (Book 1: City of Bones, Book 2: City of Ashes, Book 3: City of Glass, Book 4: City of Fallen Angels)
Can the lost be reclaimed? What price is too high to pay for love? Who can be trusted when sin and salvation collide? Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Instruments series.
I read this book awhile ago so this will be short. Once again Cassandra Clare has made a spectacular written work. We are already very familiar with the world of the Shadowhunter and in this book we get glimpses of the past as well. This book was very much a middle of the series type of book. Nothing too big happened but it paved the way for a promising conclusion. In this book we get a better understanding of Sebastian and the reader really learns to feel for him because in a world where he is the only one of his kind he is just trying to no longer be alone. However, we can’t forget that Sebastian is the new bad guy in the series and his plans are sinister indeed. I wish there was more Jace in the book and a bit more of Clary using her gifts like she did in the past. I look forward to the last book in the Mortal Instrument series. I would absolutely recommend this series.
The last book in the Mortal Instrument series is City of Heavenly Fire and it comes out September 2014.
