Book 2 (Book 1: Unearthly)
For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn’t prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought. Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
I liked this book just as much as the first. In this book Clara and Tucker’s romance seem a lot more low key than the first book. This was kind of disappointing since there wasn’t any real romance anywhere else. As for Christian I found myself rooting for him this time. You can tell he is really trying in this book. For some reason Clara and Christian seem perfect for each other but there is no spark. I really don’t like Angela in this series. Something about her annoys me and makes me always suspicious of her. We learn a lot more about the angel world in this book. However, I’m still waiting for a big fight or a bigger picture. I would definitely recommend this book.
The next book in the series is called Boundless and comes out January 22, 2013.
